Event Details:The Mark Mellon Triathlon was initiated by Dennis and Judy Mellon as a loving tribute to their late son Mark, tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. A budding young athlete, Mark was only 16 at the time.
Race Information:
Olympic Distance Triathlon: 1000 meter Swim - 40 km Bike - 10km Run
Sprint Triathlon: 500 meter Swim – 20km Bike, Individual or Team Relay
5K Run
Wet suits are permissible if water temperature is under 78º Expected water temperature - low 70’s. Expected air temperature is 75º to 80º
Picnic, camping, swimming, and bathroom with shower are available at the Otsego County Park. Reservations for camping are required.

Olympic: $50
Sprint: $40
5k: $15
All races go up $5 after June 30th and $10 the day of the race.
Location:
The events begin and end at the Otsego Lake County Park located on West Otsego Lake Drive approximately 4 miles south of Gaylord off Old Hwy 27.
Age Groups and Prizes:
First-third overall prizes will be given to Mark Mellon Triathlons and 5k racers and in the following age categories:
12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
